Our Story
Pepe's Molino is a small, family-run spot on TX-132 in Natalia that opens its doors just two days a week — Saturday and Sunday mornings — and it's worth setting an alarm for. What started as a neighborhood molino making barbacoa and tamales for weekend gatherings has become the place folks in Medina County plan their whole Saturday around.
The barbacoa is the draw: slow-cooked, never greasy, and generous in every taco. The tamales — pork and chicken — come out steaming and packed with flavor, and the menudo has earned a reputation of its own, with regulars calling it the best in the area. There are usually a few cakes on the counter too, made in-house and gone fast.
Everything here is to-go, the prices are fair, and the ladies behind the counter know a lot of their customers by name. It's simple, honest cooking made the way it's always been made — no shortcuts, just good food on a short schedule.
